Chiang Mai to Mae Hong Son
You can also take a flight from Chiang Mai with Nok Air, the only direct service between Chiang Mai and Mae Hong Son. Warm greetings from Mae Hong Son, where they’ve returned to fly from Chiang Mai after a long absence.

A flight from Chiang Mai to Mae Hong Son takes just 45 minutes. Even when you add on the time of getting to and from the airport, it’s much more expedient than a car or bus.
It will take you 15 minutes to walk from Mae Hong Son Airport to the city center. If you have a guesthouse reservation near the lake, I would recommend it.
